This is the first time a have ever used a draw knife. It works great. So easy to remove the dark.

This is a good draw knife for the price. It is great for what I am using it so far. I am making bows but so far I have only debarked trees and hard wood trees at that. Its sturdy and comfortable. One problem is that black paint or teflon scrapes off easily onto the wood so I would scratch it off before using it on a piece of wood that matters. I think it is worth the price but I bet there is something higher quality out there for a higher price.

I bought this knife so that my children and I could make bows. We've used it several times together, and they use it regularly. The knife works much better than the other tools we've tried: hatchets, pocket knives and wood planes. However, because a draw knife requires use of both hands, you have to rig something to hold the wood that you're carving. Not a problem with the knife, just something to consider!
